I believe I've read that you can shoot 7.62x51 in a .308, but not .308 in a 7.62x51, if that make a difference. You should check me on that, though. Depends on the rifle. My Saiga .308 is stamped as being OK for both, and commercial .308 (plus handloads) are primarily what I have fired through it. ...

Yeah, loud and clear. This is a relatively well known issue with Golden Tiger ammo and the AR-15. There is nothing wrong with that ammo; it is just not made for use in AR-15 rifles. If you want to use it you will need to install an enhanced firing pin.

The Golden Tiger ammo has hard primers and is meant for AKs, and has been known to give failures to fire in AR rifles. Blind squirrel, meet acorn: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QYjgwgA8LWw It kind of makes me regret how thoroughly Yeager's beclowned himself in the past, because I watched a few of his recent videos, and he seems to be hitting them out of the park lately. I was able to watch the video he made inviti...

John Ringo has a theory that it was due to psychotropic meds, specifically Cymbalta, which has a history of inducing psychotic behavior in a some patients prescribed it - his wife Miriams reaction to it, which he talked about on the book of faces, sounds like what youd ecpect from a typical spree k...

That may be. But double or nothing it had more to do with the existing crew not having gotten the applicant they wanted, than anything the probationary employee did wrong.

Shit man, didn't you have to get cut on not all that long ago? Sorry to hear that. Wife of a cow-orker had either double knee or hip replacement (I forget which) a couple years ago, which the doctors tried to talk her out of because they said she was too young. They wanted her to wait until she was ...

I seriously doubt the Germans expected any sort of successful operations from the Mexican government. Probably the best they hoped for was stirring up enough trouble on our southern border to distract us and tie up troops and logistics support that could be sent to Europe. Given the timing of the P...

It's really hard to convey just how completely beyond the pale Stalin's brutality was, and how long-lasting the consequences of living under such a regime are. Yes, but I doubt if Stalin would have lived any longer in the alternate reality than he did in this one. So figure he has 10 years to bruta...

Honestly if Stalin had run essentially unopposed across Europe in the 1940s, I am not sure how the end result would have been any worse than what they are doing to themselves today. But I can't really see that happening, given that a negotiated peace would have left Germany (along with the other nat...
