Re: Africa Wins Again...

I understand that farmers are deeply attached to their land, which in many cases their families have worked for many generations. But if I was a white farmer in SA, I would have sold my land as soon as Mandela died decades ago (Mandela was pretty much the only thing holding this back for a couple d...

Re: Africa Wins Again...

Just for reference, I do not actually think that some kind of land redistribution would not be the worst thing in the world if done right. The first part of doing it right is making sure you pay the people for what you take (it does not have to be all at once), the second part is you make sure that ...

On this specific issue, I suspect he will not float too much because there isn't much to gain, but overall, yeah, it is a matter of time. (I wish it was not true.)

Will vs Graham

https://www.nationalreview.com/2018/02/billy-graham-legacy-neither-prophet-nor-theologian/ Here is something of a rebuttal from Fox. http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2018/02/26/conservative-writer-george-will-smears-billy-graham.html I have to say that I don't see much rebuttal-ness to the rebuttal ot...

Well, I am not much of a pistol guy, but I will try to contribute something to this thread besides snark.

Here is an LC9 shown on top of the phone it typically hides behind.

https://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2018/02/26/was_cowardly_fla_deputy_told_to_wait_for_backup_136368.html Interesting counterpoint, it appears that the deputy in question may have been told to wait outside as he was in contact with his dispatch. Possibly true with the other deputies who resp...

Re: Deputy On Duty Didn't Engage Shooter

It does not bother me because it is what I expect. Certainly there are plenty of brave police officers, that is not my point. The point is that nothing requires them to do anything brave. A police officer cannot be court marshaled and executed for cowardice in the face of the enemy at even a theoret...

There is a ton of legal precedent that the police have no duty to try to protect you. Sooooooo, it is your obligation to protect yourself.

Re: Trump Throws Base Under Bus. Bans Bump Stocks.

ETA- trumps base always was LibProgs. He just changed his stripes for the election. Yes, this. Hopefully this is not the camel's nose under the tent. He has been signaling to the Left constantly that he wants to move left and make deals and they have foolishly gone all "resistance" and su...
