This is actually close to my feelings on how to attack rhe sanctuary city problem. Allow federal lawsuits for liability of the actions of the released criminals against government officials who release them.

The lawyer lobby will love it.

Re: Ron Johnson is an idiot

I'm unhappy about losing a $2500 deduction every year. I hope the increased individual exemption will offset that loss, but it makes the increase for the individual exemption much less effective in my case. This bill is also extremely unfriendly to anyone still trying to get an education. A friend ...

Well it passed the Senate with one vote to spare.

It is not a perfect bill, but to those who say there is no difference between the Dems and the GOP, when was the last tax cut to come out of a Dem controlled congress.?

He is still an idiot, but at least it looks like he supporting the tax bill. So, blind squirrel finds a nut (is ...

Glad to hear you got one. Now the fun begins. Do you grind your own sausage? Burgers, steaks and roasts? If I have time I butcher them out myself. As I am strapped for time, I had this one processed by a butcher shop I use that does a good job with them. I get the saddle, tenderloin, steaks and cho...

Well it looks like he voted yes to get it out of committee and is signaling that he will vote yes (although he has not said that yet). Frigging idiot. Just for reference, I do not think it is a perfect bill, but the corporate tax reduction is extremely important and I would rather they do that and n...

Re: National reciprocity bill

I'm ambivalent about this. From a principled standpoint, it seems like a State's rights thing. Do we want to use big government to force our desires on the States? On the other hand, it could be viewed as a further federal clarification of 2A. That's a good thing, so long as they get it right. On t...

My G3 has an 18 inch barrel and I also have a Savage bolt action with a 22 inch barrel (older pre Accu-trigger). I don't think there is too much difference between the two at least at the ranges I have used them to (say less than 200 yards). Actually the G3 groups a bit better, or at least it did ba...

Re: Thinking about a 7.62x51 semi-auto rifle

For the 308 vs 7.62 NATO ammo distinction, there are rifles where it can be an issue, but I actually think it is an overblown question relative to the rifle. It is most definitely not when it comes to reloading (7.62 NATO brass has about 10% less internal volume, so you have to adjust the loads down...

Re: Thinking about a 7.62x51 semi-auto rifle

Your best bet is probably a PTR-91, then. Brownells has a 10 pack of G3 magazines for $34.99. . Atlantic Firearms has a PTR-91 for $925 . If magazines are the only thing holding you back from a G3 style rifle, they're $3.50 each. I think the PTR's are a good bet. I have a different clone but the sm...
