They don't have a banner or page of links available yet; their website has been cranky due to updates a few days ago. Hopefully they get a banner or page set up soon. 5.56 barrels down to $169 PredatOBR barrel cartridges (specific to PredatOBR rifles) $399 Stealth 2.0 upper chassis (small frame) now...

Re: Thinking about a 7.62x51 semi-auto rifle

Thanks to my LaRue BuildAR membership I will soon have $1200 in LaRue gift cards that I got at a substantial discount. That might be enough to push the decision to a 7.62 AR platform; all I need is a lower and optics/mount; the cards cover the complete upper kit sans magazines in basic black. I migh...

I posted this in the other thread but again, LaRue is currently selling large frame kit uppers here . If you buy an upper you are then eligible to buy one of their lowers (which they rarely sell standalone) or you can go with a compatible (and likely cheaper one) elsewhere. If this was a house instead of a townhouse I'd have the garage air conditioned. But there's no window (units on both sides, our interior past the back wall) and the front face has nowhere to mount a through-wall unit. I'm still trying to finagle a way to put in disguised hose vents for a portable bu...

Re: Folding portable reloading table

I don't use it for reloading, but I have a Workmate and a piece of plywood with a 2x4 perpendicular down the center. Clamp the 2x4 in the vise, and I have a larger work surface. I suppose you could also do something with the holes in the Workmate and some bolts or something. I was thinking more in ...

Re: Folding portable reloading table

I've made that suggestion many times, i would however rip off the clamping hardware and bolt on a butcher block top - it shouldnt run you more than a 150 bucks. Or you could skip all this, buy an arbor press, and some arbor dies instead, and then you can do it on basically any flat surface. :mrgree...

With the summer in full blast my garage is not a happy place to be. Thanks for replying. While I don't intend to throw a Mech Tech from a moving car, that does look like the frame is lower quality than a standard Glock. For me the top end of the Glock would be wasted. I really don't enjoy shooting them, but the frame allows use of inexpensive magazines, some with pr...

Midway has this frame kit on sale. It is an 80% poly frame with the needed steel inserts that the rest of the Glock parts attach to, plus a jig and tools (presuming a drill press) to finish. It appears you can actually do most of the work with a dremel tool (drill press still preferred for the throu...

I guess Danish M2 is just a mystery. I went through all my stored ammo (which I haven't done in years) and found some more LC66 non-magnetic M2, and some boxes of PMC M2 ball. No worries. We'll just end up with a too small heater (marginal for us, but too small if a family of 4+ moves into this place someday) or else pay an estimated extra $600-$1000 for a lot of plumbing and flue work to fit in a new .gov approved oversized ~40 gallon unit. Our water heater sprung a slow leak today. I've used an AR with a ALG Defense Sidewinder brake on a 20" barrel, and it rather disturbs people in neighboring lanes at the range and was noticeable to me. I've also fired an RRA 16" heavy barrel with one of their brakes with nasty crenellations to scare people, but don't recall the sid...
